A Mothers Journey to Spiritual Surrender

September 2, 2010

I have studied many of the great Religions, Quantum Physics, Mystical Awareness and many forms of Spirituality over the past 17 years. I consider myself a Seeker and a Lightworker. I am also the mother of two children. This is what has defined me for the past 20 or more years. It is a role that I love and a role that has brought deep meaning to my life. As a single mother, my two children are my world.

So how is it that you say goodbye to being the caretaker of your children? How do you let them go out into the world as adults to make their own decisions and work through their own problems? Sometimes our children choose a path in their life where this "adulthood" comes fast and furious and they truly are on their own and you as a parent must let go. One of my children chose this path and it has been a meaningful and deep journey for the two of us. This child joined the United States Army.

Is Your Pursuit of Money Robbing You Of Complete Fulfillment?

August 27, 2010

Do you think it’s acceptable for people to make millions of dollars selling us and our kids on the idea that pre-marital sex, adultery, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, selfish ambitions, drunkenness and things of this sort are O.K.?

I thought not, but these are the things we are most likely to see on T.V. The new reality show craze is even causing society to take a passive and some times condoning look at sin, while making big bucks in the process.

Proverbs 12:14 - There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Let’s take a quick look at what sin really is. It is disobedience to any of the ten commandments of God, it is evil or conspiring thoughts, and it is an offense against someone else. Sin is what separates us from God. This is something sinners and people who condone sin never truly understand.

Isaiah 59:1-2 Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

Nurturing Your Spirit

August 22, 2010

Do you ever wonder about the other "YOU ?"

The one that speaks to you quietly, the one that helps you find inspiration. It is in your spirit that the feeling of love and peace reign supreme. It is where happiness is free to embrace you.

It is the voice that shouts the emptiness of your life, despite all the trappings of luxury that you surround yourself with. It is the loneliness that overwhelms you , calling to you to wake up. There’s more to life than wallowing in your misery. It’s your spirit starved for attention and love.

Ever wonder who you truly share the heights of joy, or the depths of pain and sorrow, when everyone else is out of reach ? Reach out within yourself.

What gives you strength, courage and empowerment? Why does negative self-talk feel magnified especially in your solitude?

We all have a Spirit, if you would stop, listen and nurture it. It will not lead you astray. Negative vibrations weigh you down, because the spirit does not want to have anything to do with your negative attitudes. It serves you no purpose. It’s almost trying to tell you, Hey, if you pursue this course, you’re on your own. Listen to me and I’ll show you a better way.

Spiritual Surrender: Living a Peace Filled Life

August 15, 2010

Are you at a crossroad in your life where you want the after to be better than the before? Do you feel as though your life is not on "purpose"? Are you scared of what the future may hold for you or angry at what has happened in the past? If any of these themes ring true for you, than I would ask you to let go, and surrender.

I am often asked what the term Spiritual Surrender means. To me it is about living each moment as it comes and not worrying about what has taken place in the past or what may happen in the future. It is about being certain that each moment of your life is being lived exactly as it is supposed to be to learn the lessons you were brought here to learn. My belief about surrender is based on metaphysical law. I believe that we create our destiny through our thought process. If I am in the state of surrender than my truest thoughts are always, "Thy will be done".

Create Miracles in Your Life

August 9, 2010

Until recently, miracles were usually credited to a supernatural power. The miracles in the Bible are a good example. Nowadays, miracles can be described as something that is extraordinary, inexplicable and unexplainable by normal circumstances. We all need a miracle, even a small one, every now and again. An example of a small miracle might be finding a parking space downtown on a busy afternoon. A larger miracle could be finding the perfect career opportunity, meeting a new partner, or enjoying an exotic vacation.

Seven factors are required for a miracle to occur: acceptance, serendipity, intuition, universal love, willingness to change, faith, and a method of sending your request out into the universe.

ACCEPTANCE. Obviously, you will not be entirely happy with your current situation if you are requesting a miracle. However, you must accept your current circumstances without regret, fear, hurt, anger or blame.

SERENDIPITY. Serendipity is the ability to make fortunate discoveries by accident. In fact, you should take this a step further and expect fortunate discoveries to occur by accident. When you expect good things to happen, the universe ensures they do. That is almost a miracle in itself.

What Does God Want From Me? A Personal Revelation of Conviction Verses Condemnation

August 3, 2010

It’s strange how my life today looks wildly different from the way it was in the beginning of my Christian walk. My spiritual life cooled after being burned by a fellow Christian a few years back. Then, unthinkable challenges, such as adultery and divorce, came my way. I became someone far different from the bible believing, Jesus freak I thought I was.

Recently, I opened my bible and read verses I hadn’t read in years. I hardly recognized myself. I felt so far off from God and it made me afraid, very afraid. Suddenly, I was in a crisis. A crisis that left me with only two options. The first, completely turn my life upside down and take drastic, tragic measures to make my life look more godly, or never, ever open that book again!

I decided, in a moment of panic, I couldn’t live up to God’s instruction. I decided I need to live in the world. I needed to be a casual believer-believing, but not searching God’s word for more, or seeking God deeper. Because when I search for more, or I seek deeper, I only see my horrid state. Sadly, I was, for the moment, misled by a successful tactic used on much of the world.

Getting Results

We desire to understand the world by giving names to the things we see, but these things are only the effects of something subtle. — Lao Tsu

We’re having a little cold snap here in Central Florida — also a little rain. Not the kind of inspiring morning I was looking for, but, realize it could be a lot worse. I could be up north. Anyway, they’ll be no more lame excuses for not writing anything. I’ve decided to seize the moment and see what happens.

It occurred to me that one’s motives for writing have a lot to do with the resulting productivity. To the extent that I actually take myself seriously about wanting to be the next Wayne Dyer — or even to gain any tangible rewards — I sabotage my efforts.

It’s a very simple principle. My writing must be for it’s own sake — just as I was corresponding with an imaginary friend. And, I shouldn’t fret over the fact that I can’t spell or punctuate. Sometimes I think that english teachers should be taken out and severely punished for making people feel uncomfortable with their own language.

Is The Person You Think About The Most Missing Gods Point?

July 22, 2010

Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus said unto him, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” “This is the first and great commandment.” “And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Question, how can you keep the greatest two commandments of God listed in the scriptures above if you’re always thinking about yourself?

The answer is you can’t!

According to these verses you should be thinking about how to please and serve God all of the time and this includes splitting the time you think about pleasing yourself with thinking about and pleasing other people, which is also the second greatest commandment.

Some “Christians” have fallen for the idea that when the Bible says that the second greatest commandment is, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”, it means that before you can keep this commandment, you must learn to love yourself.

This is not so, the real intent of the Scripture, then, is that, since you already love yourself, your love for your neighbor should be at least equal to this.

A Word Filty Spoken

July 14, 2010

A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. Proverbs 25:11

Epiphany ~ A comprehension or perception of reality by means of a sudden intuitive realization: “I experienced an Epiphany, a spiritual flash that would change the way I viewed myself” Frank Maier. ~ Webster’s Unabridged Dictionary

Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday Epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience Life and the World. ~ John Milton English Poet, Historian and Scholar

Mysterious and purely reflective as an illusive event which eclipses all other events; Epiphany stands alone. There is no racing in pursuit to capture it and most certainly there is no amount of money that can purchase it. Seemingly, there is never any perceived explanation for it’s appearance. Certainly little less is conjured in relationship to it’s unprecedented timing. Epiphany’s stealthily escape all manmade efforts of control, only providing major quantum leaps within man’s psyche. There just is not any rationale to it’s luminous identity.

Heroes and Heroines - Contemplating Conscious Evolution

July 8, 2010

The myths of man have been with us throughout time. Since the earliest of cave drawings to modern books and film, the myths of man have been the creators of man, providing both meaning and symbolism to his / her life.

Myths have guided man throughout the centuries and are to be found in every culture. They inspire; they guide; they teach. They provide sustenance to us humans as we travel this Earthly plane.

Yes, this Earthly plane! Such a radical statement when you think about it. Since the dawn of time, man has been guided by mythology, and yet, he/she inspired its very nature and course of action. Myths exist for man, while man creates the myths he/she lives by. Such an interesting cycle don’t you think? One feeding the other as it were.

We don’t often think of mythology in the modern age, only as a curiosity perhaps, but never as a true guide for our journey across this plane. No, we refer to other measures in this so called advanced age of ours.
