Success Steps For Your Personal Or Business Life
by: Tony Davies
Fact: Success is something of which we all want more.
Fact: Most people believe that success is difficult.
Fact: They’re wrong - it’s not!
Success isn’t really that difficult. There is a significant portion of the population here in North America, that actually want and need success to be hard! Why? So they then have a built-in excuse when things don’t go their way! Pretty sad situation, to say the least.
For those of you who are serious about having more, doing more, giving more and being more, success is achievable with some understanding of what to do, some discipline around planning and execution of those plans and belief that you can achieve your desires.
The Truth About Success
The first thing to remember about success is that it is a process - nothing more, nothing less. There is really no magic to it and it’s not reserved only for a select few people. As such, success really has nothing to do with luck, coincidence or fate. It really comes down to understanding the steps in the process and then executing on those steps.
Mom, How F.I.T.T. Is Your Workout?
January 14, 2008
Moms don’t have the time or desire to mess around with complicated workouts that don’t get results. If you want real Mommy Muscle you need a plan that’s based on principles not infomercials and advertising.
Some things you can just count on over time. These certainties are the fundamentals of life. Let’s test it. I predict if you have a stroller age baby - they will cry today. Do you want to challenge my prediction?
I doubt it. Why am I so confident? Because my prediction is based on a fundamental principle of infant development. (One you undoubtedly know well.) A baby crying is a principle aspect of their life. It’s a reliable and fundamental behavior that allows us to make informed decisions about a baby’s condition and needed care.
I’ve noticed when it comes to fitness development; many people tend to ignore principles. Perhaps it’s because we’re constantly exposed to books, magazines, fast talkers and beautiful photography that pitch exotic opportunities to transform our lives. Maybe it’s because fundamentals are boring and unsexy. After all we don’t see them advertised. Besides, who wants to hear the way to get in better shape is to take a walk, when the T.V. is tempting us with a tan, toned model smiling at her beautiful boyfriend while taking her fat burning pill?
Creating An Anabolic State That Supports Muscle Growth
January 13, 2008
You can only build muscle if your body is in the correct anabolic balance to allow growth to take place. Intensive exercise is clearly an important part of the muscle building process but achieving the maximum muscle mass depends on putting the building blocks in place. This is achieved through sound nutritional practices so you need to be aware of the following anabolic enhancing principles:
1. Protein is the basic raw material needed to build muscle. Protein supplies the amino acids that the body uses to repair and build muscle following intensive exercise. Aim to consume 1 to 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight each day from food like beef, fish, poultry, eggs, milk and whey. Spread the load over at least six meals to derive the optimum benefit and avoid overloading the liver.
2. Carbohydrates are needed to energize the muscle building process. Carbohydrates stimulate the release of insulin which pushes the amino acids into muscle cells to begin the process of repair. The body uses carbohydrates as a source of energy - consume too little and the body will steal protein that would otherwise be used for repairing and building muscle. Aim to consume 1.5 to 2 grams of carbohydrate per pound of body weight each day from foods like potatoes, pasta, rice, vegetables and whole wheat bread.

Read All New People by Anne Lammott
Why do we make it all seem like a crisis, over and over again? Why do we worry it all to death, like dogs with socks or chew-toys? Look at it this way, “In a hundred years? - All new people.”

5 Tips to Reduce Depression
January 11, 2008
While war and poor economic conditions begin to affect people all over the world, more and more people suffer with depression. The more we focus on news events and the business climate, the more we are depressed. Whatever the reason you feel is the cause of your depression, the following five simple tips guarantee you reduce it significantly.
1. Do not read newspapers.
Newspapers publish negative stories most of the time. Even in peaceful periods, newspapers will find the worst in humanity and place negative stories on display in order to promote sales and subscribers. Stories focused on War, rebellion, death, destruction, doom and despair abound in the newspapers.
You will not miss any news. Friends, family, and your local air raid siren will keep you informed if your attention is needed. Only pay attention to the things you can control in your life.
Stop reading the newspaper and reduce the negative input to your brain.
2. Turn off your television.
Six Questions To Make Your Workplace Stress-Free
January 10, 2008
Many CEOs see stress as an intractable problem which would cost too much to tackle properly — or alternatively something that only affects ‘whiners’ whom their organisations would be better off without. Employee assistance programmes, corporate gym memberships and flexible hours are seen as expensive, of dubious effectiveness, and in the worst case, as mollycoddling staff. Many organisations do the bare minimum to comply with legislation — and some get stung for heavy penalties as the law gradually tightens up.
Let’s look at stress in a different way. Stress is a drain on your organisation’s productivity, morale and commitment. When you remove the causes of stress in your organisation, not only will everyone feel better about coming to work, your bottom line will improve. And if you can get the answers right to these six simple common-sense questions, codes of practice and counselling programmes won’t come into the equation. Are you interested yet?
Why The Questions Are In This Form
We could ask questions that look at the situation from the outside, like “Do my team members have what they need to do the job?” This detached, third-party viewpoint is the way that managers have traditionally looked at ‘people factors’ in the past. This won’t get you the whole answer.
Weight Loss vs. Fat Loss
January 10, 2008
In order to lose weight, your body must burn more calories than it takes in, but keep in mind that your body needs calories for energy and when you exercise; your body needs even more calories. Before I talk about energy, the first thing you must understand is that losing weight and losing fat is not the same thing. Just because you lose weight, does not mean you lose fat, and just because you lose fat, does not mean you lose weight. When people talk about losing weight, what the really want to do is lose the excess fat on their body and obtain an attractive figure.
In Search of a Teacher of Spirit: Eleven Conscious Considerations
January 9, 2008
Many of us are on an inward or outward path-to Enlightenment, to our Higher Selves, to our eternal connection with Source. We are called to this for reasons only the individual can describe, or more often, just know, and in the course of this Path, we often connect with other like minded (Light minded?) beings. And because we all have chosen specific areas of Service, we alternate roles of healer, teacher, guide and leader. We each can offer Service to others, often by our presence and energetic state. Sometimes, we may be drawn or called to provide Illumination through insights we have received on our personal journey, or in CoCreation with nonphysical Beings of Light, or aspects of Spirit. All are valid and vital aspects of our experiencing and expressing ourselves as Source. The "teacher" and the "student" offer each other great gifts of Spirit, and Lessons beyond what is recognizable in physical manifestation. For the purpose of this offering, I refer to those beings recognized as, or offering structured format or experience, as spiritual teachers. While many are called to be spiritual teachers, a Teacher of Spirit is a powerful Illuminating Force. We "know them when we se(ns)e them", and more importantly, by the virtue of their Service, our lives change, and we GROW into our fullest spiritual potential.
Escape the Drama! through The Power of TED* (The Empowerment Dynamic)

Escape the Drama! through The Power of TED* (The Empowerment Dynamic)
by: David Emerald
There is a vital distinction between victimhood as a particular situation and Victimhood as a way of being and self-identity. It is the latter that we now have the capacity to change, thanks to The Power of TED* (*The Empowerment Dynamic).
Since the beginning of time, the default orientation of humanity has been that of the Victim. Living in an often hostile and dangerous world, we human beings have honed the fight, flight, or freeze reaction to our life experience. While surviving is an accomplishment that deserves to be honored, most of humanity lives at a level of material wealth where survival is no longer a question. However, surviving is not thriving ─ spiritually, mentally or emotionally. And surviving is not creating. There must be a better way - and now there is!
Transactional Analysis pioneer and psychiatrist Stephen Karpman, MD, has observed that most human dynamics involve three roles - that of Victim; Persecutor (or Perpetrator); and Rescuer - which result in what he described as the “Drama Triangle.”
How to Buy A Treadmill - Key Points
January 7, 2008
Finding the best treadmill to buy shouldn’t be a difficult thing to do. Treadmills have long been touted as a major player in the health and fitness field and for good reason. They are relatively compact, promote vital cardiovascular benefits, and are simple to use. Not to mention you don’t have to get in the car and run to the gym! The only thing left is to find the right treadmill for you. Here are a few treadmill keys.
First, check with your doctor that this is an appropriate health regimen for you to embark upon. It probably is, or you wouldn’t be reading this! Next, check the motor and see of it is powerful enough for your needs as relates to weight. Most brands offer several options in this area. Health monitoring features such as heart rate monitors are an added benefit to keep track of your progress. The ability to store the treadmill economically is a plus also, and sturdy hand rails and easy on/off benefits add to your experience.
