Wealth Building Profit Plan - What’s Yours?

Wealth Building Profit Plan - What’s Yours?
 by: Jason Oman

When it comes to wealth building, there’s a big difference between ‘potential’ and having a good wealth building profit plan.

This recent story is a great example

My friend, Roy and I were hanging out by the pool chatting while his son was swimming.

Roy kept mentioning all the ‘potential’ he thought his business ideas had.

Well, he recently lost his wife to cancer, he’s a single dad now, and his finances had gotten so bad that he had to borrow money from his son’s piggybank just so they could eat.

So, after hearing his continuous talk of ‘potential’ and finding out about the financial position he was in, I couldn’t stand it anymore.

First I wrote him a check for $1,000 on the spot so he could pay his son back and get groceries, gas, and pay some overdue bills.

Then it was time to focus on making a shift from all this talk about the P-word to focusing on how he could generate profit ASAP!

Know Your Muscles - The Shoulders And Arms

October 31, 2008

Becoming familiar with the muscles that make up your body has more benefits than simply allowing you to talk shop with your training partners. The more familiar you are with the muscles you’re working, the better you’ll be able to judge what’s needed to make improvements. In this article we’ll get to know the muscles that make up the shoulders and arms.

Shoulders and arms work together but they require significantly different exercises to make them bigger and stronger. The main muscles found in these areas are as follows:

1. Deltoid - this is comprised of three separate segments that cover the shoulder and run a few inches down the arm. The anterior deltoid raises the arm to the front. The middle deltoid raises the arm to the side. The posterior deltoid draws the arm backwards.

2. Rotators - these are small muscles of the rotator cuff that control small movements of the upper arm. Consisting of an internal rotator, external rotator and supraspinatus they are used in lifting and throwing actions.

3. Biceps brachii - the biceps covers the front part of the upper arm and consists of a long head and a short head. The long head crosses the shoulder joint and works with the front deltoid to raise the arm to the front.

What Creates Self-Esteem?

What Creates Self-Esteem?
 by: Margaret Paul, Ph.D.

We all want to feel good about ourselves but many of us go about this in the ways that will never create self-esteem.

Do you believe that you will have high self-esteem when:

• You make a lot of money?

• You achieve a high position in your work?

• You have an expensive car or an expensive home?

• You are famous?

• You find the right relationship?

• You receive approval from the important people in your life?

While all of these can result in momentary good feelings, none of them create a deep and abiding sense of self-esteem.

Self-esteem actually has nothing to do with your achievements or with other people. Self-esteem results from two things regarding your inner relationship with yourself:

• How you see yourself

• How you treat yourself

Richard, a client of mine, is a very successful businessman. He is wealthy, lives is a big house, has expensive cars, a lovely wife and three children. But Richard consulted with me because of his low self-esteem. He was perplexed that he continued to feel so inadequate in spite of all that he had achieved and all that he had.

Muraqaba- The Sufi Meditation By Sufi-Master Khwaja Shamsuddin Azeemi

October 29, 2008

When we try to learn a new skill or try to gain knowledge about a specific subject, we follow a guideline or a system, which demands that we pay attention to the subject to fully understand it. Our mind becomes curious to know the where, how and what of it. When we pay attention to the minor details, that minor point itself gains value. However, when we ignore the most important part and do not pay any cognitive attention to it then even that major point loses its value and importance. Through contemplation we gain knowledge about any object and the deeper that knowledge, the more we learn about that object and its qualities.

Muraqaba is the name of that contemplation through which man is able to gain the knowledge which is the primordial knowledge of his Ego, Self, or Soul. After gaining that knowledge, any man can gain access to his Ego or Soul.

It appears that the person performing Muraqaba is simply sitting in a pose with his or her eyes closed. However, merely shutting the eyes and assuming a specific pose does not serve the purpose. Muraqaba is in fact an angle of perception through which the person doing the Muraqaba frees himself or herself from outward senses and begins their journey in the inward senses.

Trying To Lose Weight? Dont!

October 28, 2008

Are you trying to lose weight?

If you are, STOP!

Funny thing to say coming from someone that wants to help you lose all the weight you want, right?

Actually, there’s a good reason.

You see, you can’t try to lose weight. Don’t believe me?

OK, let’s use an example. Look around where you are sitting right now and find a small object. Perhaps a pen, envelope or book. Got it?

Now, try to pick it up. Go ahead.

Is it in your hand? If it is, well, then you didn’t try, you actually picked it up. If it’s not in your hand, you didn’t.

Simple, right?

There’s no middle ground in doing. You can’t “try” to do anything, it’s a fallacy. You either do it, or don’t do it.

The same applies to losing weight (or anything else for that matter). Saying that you’ll try gives your mind fuzzy instructions, and it will return fuzzy results, results that aren’t what you really want. It also gives you a “way out” if you don’t achieve the goals you set out to reach.

Catholic Self Defense

October 27, 2008

Note: I wrote this essay regarding the development of Tekkenryu jujutsu. However, I think it is applicable for all methods of self defense. It may also explain why martial arts are the way they are.

Catholic, by definition, means universal or “broad minded”.

I could pull out STACKS of manuals, syllabuses, films, and related research material that cover an ENTIRE range of unarmed combat.

Some methods advocate wrestling as their base, others use boxing or savate. Some jujutsu and judo while others call their systems “rough and tumble” or “all in”, and there is even a system based on American SPORTS. I have an old manual on YOGA for self defense. The material ranges from current to OLD, some very old.

These varied systems have everything! Striking and kicking methods drawn from EVERY method and “nationality”, GRAPPLING methods from Lutte to Judo, from Sambo to All-In Wrestling. They range from standing to the ground; all aspects, all methods.

The guys in our crew have trained in an impressive array of systems and methods. They have a fantastic “pool” of knowledge, SKILL, and TRAINING to draw from.

OKAY, so WHAT? See if this makes sense…………

The Health Benefits of Sex

October 26, 2008

Lose weight. Reduce stress. Lower your cholesterol level. Improve your circulation. Live longer. Stay younger. Sounds like an ad for a new wonder drug right? In fact it’s a partial list of the benefits of humanity’s oldest and most pleasurable pastime - sex.

Most of us are aware of the feel-good benefits of sex while we’re engaged in it, but do you also know that there are benefits which carry on after the sweaty bodies have dried and the sweet talk has reverted to sports? For instance:

Maintaining Ideal Body Weight

There are 3500 calories in a pound of fat. For every 3500 calories you burn (that you do not replace with food!) you will lose one pound of fat. Sexual intercourse burns approximately 150 calories per half hour. Here’s how that stacks up against some other activities that may be part of your fitness regime: yoga 114 calories per half hour, dancing - rock 129, walking - 3mph 153, weight training 153, canoeing - 2mph 153, volleyball 174.

Garlic Can Kill Superbug - A Health Supplement

October 26, 2008

The Superbug MRSA which is becoming more common in Hospitals, it has now developed a lethal strain, that has already killed a number of patients.

Doctor Ron Cutler, a microbiologist at the University of East London, in the United Kingdom, says that Allicin, which is a completely natural extract from Garlic, has shown remarkable success on patients with MRSA.

He has worked on this project for six years and he says that Allicin, not only kills MRSA, but also the increasing number of New Generation Superbugs, that are immune to the normal Antibiotics. We should always remember that all Antibiotics are natural, or dirivitives from Natural Products.

Allicin is the part of the Garlic that causes the pungent odour, but Doctor Cutler has developed a odourless version.

At this stage the reseach success rate, is very promising.

Due to the chemicals in the air that we breathe and the food that we eat, it is essential that we take care of our Immune System, as it is the system given us at birth, to fight off illnesses and diseases, the natural way. Unfortunately, in this day and age, the Immune System is in continual battle with the elements that surround us.

Equal In the Eyes of God

October 25, 2008

There was a time in my life when I seriously wondered whether there was intelligent life on other planets.

As a child, I believed that we human beings here on the planet Earth were God’s only children. I learned early on how special we were: we were made in God’s image, to look after His planet. There was no other force in the universe (which I envisioned as a big, black void with our planet in the center) that could compare to us. Our planet was here for our convenience; it was home to everything that we thinking, feeling human beings needed to survive. The survival of Man, I thought, was the only purpose for anything else being alive.

I can’t lay the blame for those self-centered beliefs on anyone or anything in particular, but I’m sure it had a lot to do with bits and pieces I’d heard in church and Sunday school, where they never, ever discussed the possibility that other beings, living on other planets, were just as favored in God’s eyes as we were. I definitely grew up thinking of Man as an only child.

How to get the Mind of a Zen Buddhist Monk

How to get the Mind of a Zen Buddhist Monk
 by: Mary Desaulniers

It has been 8 weeks since I started Bill Harris’ Holosync Awakening Prologue. And I must say that I have been pleasantly surprised by the results. I was not looking for gut-wrenching changes in my personality. After all I am, on the whole, quite even in temperament. Like most folks, I am happy, confident and secure most of the time.

What attracted me to Bill Harris’ program initially was the fact that his promises did not carry the usual sales pitch. He did not promise that all your dreams would materialize with the use of his product. Nor did he say that you would become infinitely wealthy or successful or that all your desires would be made manifest. What he did promise was that

a) you would become more happy, more tranquil;

b) you would improve your brain power—increase in learning ability, memory, intuition, creativity and concentration;

c) you would experience remarkable improvement in spiritual and emotional health;

d) you would ( if you follow through with the 12 levels of the program until the end) develop the brain state of a Zen Buddhist monk.
